It's easy being a Yankees fan. The same goes for the Cowboys and Lakers.
It's OK; you were taught to follow winners since you were born.
There's just something about following a loser that I began to love at a very young age. I also watched Underdog every afternoon when I was a kid too, so maybe that says something.
It just seems like one would appreciate things so much more if wins were a lot harder to come by. Of course, I'm not just talking about sports.
Many of us go through life taking so much for granted.
Not me. Not anymore. Not since SHE came.
It's been almost one year since SHE tried to ruin the city I love so much. SHE failed, which makes HER the only loser I could never root for.
Today, things are much brighter. I have finally found someone I can spend the rest of my life with. (I hope she can put up with me.) My job finally is turning back toward a northerly direction. And my sports teams, well, they're the Cubs and the Saints, but I still love 'em.
I guess I just wanted a place where I could rant and rave about the things I care about most.
Even if no one else could give a wooden nickel less.
